About this product
The FE 50mm F1.8 is a low-cost way to get the creamy background blur that kit lenses can't give. On full-frame bodies like the a7 IV or a7C II it's a classic 50mm; on APS-C bodies like the ZV-E10 II, a6400 and a6700 it becomes a 75mm portrait lens.
The f/1.8 aperture lets you shoot indoor events and evening scenes at lower ISO, and it's light enough to carry everywhere. Autofocus is a little louder and slower than Sony's premium lenses, so it suits portraits and photos more than fast video.
If you're on APS-C and want a 50mm-equivalent view, look at the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 instead.
