Short answer: when you buy a camera in Ahmedabad, get a GST invoice with the serial number, make sure it carries the Indian brand warranty, and test the camera in the store before you pay. Compare the price of the whole kit, not just the body.
Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, DJI and others offer warranty service in India for products sold through their Indian channels. Cameras imported privately (“grey market”) are sometimes cheaper but service centres can refuse them. Ask:
A proper GST invoice lists the product, serial number, price and GSTIN. It’s your proof of purchase for warranty claims, and businesses can claim input tax credit. We provide a GST invoice on every sale.
Five minutes of checking avoids problems later:
The camera is usually 70–80% of the cost; the rest is a memory card, spare battery, bag and often a second lens or mic. Ask for a quote on the complete kit. On our website you can add products to an enquiry list and send them on WhatsApp for one combined quote.
Cheap, fake memory cards and batteries cause most “my camera stopped” complaints. Choose genuine ones: a SanDisk Extreme PRO card and a brand battery like the Canon LP-E17. See how to spot fake SanDisk cards.
Before you leave, set the date and time, language, image quality, card formatting and phone app pairing. We do this for customers at the counter so the camera is ready to shoot.

Online and store prices are often close for popular models. A local store adds a hands-on demo, setup help, a GST invoice and someone to talk to if something goes wrong. Ask for a kit quote, which often closes the gap.
A camera imported outside the brand's official Indian channel. It may be cheaper but usually lacks Indian warranty, and the menus or chargers may differ.
Sealed box and matching serial numbers, shutter count near zero, clean sensor, working buttons and dials, both card slots, the included battery and charger, and the warranty card or registration details.
